Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is stacked with elite talent, while more than a dozen of the cycle’s 27 commits have shut down their recruitment, including five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington and four-star edge Tristian Givens, who made their announcements this week.
While coach Mike Elko and his staff are focused on the 2025 season at hand, more than half of the 2026 commits paired with several 2027 and 2028 prospects visited College Station during the Aggies’ opening season win over UTSA last Saturday night. Elko has already proven his ability to recruit with the best of them, already matching what former head coach Jimbo Fisher achieved during his tenure.
On Thursday, Rivals released its list of the 12 2026 classes with the most blue-chip prospects, which the site measures as the total amount of four and five-star commitments each program has landed. For Texas A&M, 21 of its 27 commits are in this category, which is the third most within Rivals’ recruiting class rankings for the 2026 cycle.

With Georgia and USC leading the way, the Aggies still have a chance to flip one or two commitments. In contrast, their pursuit of 2026 five-star wide receiver Tristian Keys, who recently flipped from LSU to Tennessee, includes two elite edge prospects, including Florida commit KJ Ford and Oregon commit Anthony “Tank” Jones.
Five-star cornerback Brandon Arrington is considered the top prospect in the Aggies’ cycle, followed by four-star defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright and four-star running back KJ Edwards.
