Washington Commanders vs. Green Bay Packers: Week 2 final injury report

The Washington Commanders finished a short week of practice on Wednesday in preparation for Thursday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

Only one Washington player did not participate during Wednesday’s practice, but he should be fine for the game. Wide receiver Noah Brown received a veteran rest day. Brown had one last week, too, and played in Sunday’s game. He’s dealt with a knee injury since June.

The Commanders signed a punter to the practice squad on Wednesday morning, indicating there is some level of concern that Tress Way will not be able to play. Head coach Dan Quinn discussed Way’s status:

“Yep, the concern is lower for us now, but like most things just try to always protect the team and make the decisions,” Quinn said. “He hit the ball well today, so we signed [P] Mitch [Wishnowsky], and on a short week, just the right decision to go that way, but we expect Tress to do well.”

Washington made Way questionable for Thursday, along with defensive end Deatrich Wise. Everyone else listed on this week’s injury had no designation for Week 2.

What about the Packers?

Two players are out for Green Bay: defensive lineman Brenton Cox Jr. and cornerback Bo Melton. The Packers listed five players as questionable

Starting offensive linemen Zach Tom and Aaron Banks were listed as questionable.
