During the Tennessee Titans‘ 20-12 loss on Sunday, the team watched its offensive line struggle to protect quarterback Cam Ward, who was under a constant barrage of pressure by the attacking Denver Broncos defense. Now they have to pick up the pieces with starting tackle JC Latham on the sidelines.
#Titans‘ Callahan: We’ll see where JC is at by Wednesday. He’s been battling the same thing for a while. That’s probably the most significant injury.

Latham left the game early after aggravating the hip injury that has bothered him through much of training camp and preseason, and as of Monday, head coach Brian Callahan had no update on whether he will be available or not against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2.
During his media availability, Callahan talked about the normal bumps and bruises associated with NFL play, but singled out Latham’s injury as being the most significant concern heading into the practice week.
Latham sat out the preseason finale and was held out of practice the following week with what was described at the time as soreness, with no specifics given. Now the 2024 first-round pick will be the center of attention once again when the team returns to the practice field.
One injured player that he also discussed was L’Jarius Sneed, who saw a reduced number of snaps on Sunday, and described that situation as a preventive measure. Sneed entered the contest on a snap count, as he continues to round back into form after missing the entire offseason.
#Titans HC Brian Callahan on L’jarius Sneed’s snap count: “We’ll increase his load in practice this week… We’ll do what’s best for the player long term.” https://t.co/Z1Tp5hAQTx

If Latham is sidelined, it would be a huge blow to the offensive line trying to regroup before heading into Week 2.. Callahan concluded by saying he would provide a more detailed injury status for the team on Wednesday after consulting with the training staff and when the team returns to practice.
