In just his third NFL season, Seahawks’ wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is proving he is an elite professional talent.
In the Seahawks’ 44-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals last week, Smith-Njigba hauled in 93 yards and one touchdown on five receptions, which officially put him over the 1,000-yard mark for the second consecutive season with eight games remaining to play. He is on pace to shatter his career-best in the NFL for receiving yards and touchdowns in a single season. But the third-year NFL star has also achieved a milestone few before him have.
With his last outing, Smith-Njigba has recorded 75 or more receiving yards in every game he’s played this season. With that accomplishment, he is just the third player in NFL history to do so. He joins a pair of elite talents on that list, with only Antonio Brown and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin also having reached the milestone.

Smith-Njigba has also recorded 100+ yard receiving efforts in six of his nine outings this year, and is showing no sign of slowing down. He’ll have another opportunity to continue his impressive streak this week as the Seahawks travel to face the Los Angeles Rams in an NFC West divisional showdown on Sunday.
