Four-star prospect Landon Duckworth will be in Baton Rouge Saturday, according to a report from Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong. Duckworth committed to South Carolina on July 18.
The Jackson, AL native didn’t have LSU in his top five during his initial recruitment. He chose the Gamecocks over Auburn, Florida State, Ole Miss and North Carolina but he seems to be open to other offers as the 2025 season gets underway.
247Sports is the highest on Duckworth, ranking him the cycle’s No. 6 passer and No. 51 overall. Rivals’ Industry Rankings slot him at No. 8 in the class. The six-foot-three, 190-pounder was a consensus top-10 quarterback for much of the cycle.

Head coach Brian Kelly’s staff missed on every quarterback it targeted in the 2026 class, including Bowe Bentley and Bryson Beaver. Without a passer, the Tigers are left to recruit players who have already committed and convince them to flip. Duckworth’s visit gives LSU a chance to work towards that goal on Saturday night.
