Meet Sheikh Moussa, a 70-year-old Lebanese golfer who has lived through decades of conflict and still refuses to leave his home in Dahiya, one of the worst-hit areas by airstrikes. For the last 45 days, he has been living alone in what has become a ghost town.
From witnessing Israeli troops inside his home during the 1982 Beirut siege to surviving bombings that once injured his father, Sheikh Moussa’s story is one of resilience, faith, and deep attachment to his home.
