Sep. 13—GADSDEN — Coosa Christian’s Joseph East rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns as the Conquerors defeated Falkville 26-0 in a Class 2A, Region 6 win on Friday.
Reed Dillard completed 9 of 13 passes for 74 yards for the Blue Devils and CJ Jackson intercepted a pair of passes.
Falkville (2-1, 1-1) continues region play next week at home against Southeastern.

Muscle Shoals 66, Decatur 0: Muscle Shoals utilized offense, defense and special teams in a big Class 6A, Region 7 win on Friday night.
The Trojans forced a fumble on the game’s opening kick, scoring two plays later to take an early 7-0 lead. Muscle Shoals forced a quick punt on Decatur’s ensuing possession and scored a rushing touchdown to take a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter.
Muscle Shoals blocked a punt, intercepted a pass, forced a fumble and recorded a safety in the win.
The Trojans (4-0, 2-0) continue region play at Cullman next week. Decatur (0-4, 0-2) will play at Hartselle.

Decatur 34, Columbia 0: Annabelle Matthews tossed five touchdown passes as Decatur rolled past Columbia on Thursday to remain unbeaten on the season.
Matthew completed 17-of-23 pass attempts for 186 yards, tossing three touchdowns to Jennifer Mitchell. Mitchell finished with 71 yards receiving, while Hope Bouchillon and Emmerson Weinman added one touchdown catch each.
Defensively, Bouchillon and Luna Gutierrez led the Red Raiders (4-0) with five flag pulls each. Jazlyn Jackson and Hayden Burnett added two pulls each. — Austin 33, Hazel Green 0: Autumn Cassidey completed 16-of-27 passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns as Austin (3-0) won its home opener on Thursday.
Cassidy completed touchdown passes to Destiny Acklin (25, 20 yards) and Braylee Pitts (14 yards), while Elicia Sutherlin added a 22-yard touchdown run.
Kenslie Phillips returned a Hazel Green interception 55 yards for a score and Jada Billings recorded a flag pull for a safety. Billings finished with five pulls and one pass breakup, while Tyeshia Hodges recorded a team-high six pulls.

Austin beats Sparkman, Decatur Heritage: Austin continued its strong season on Thursday, picking up wins over Sparkman and Decatur Heritage to improve to 25-4 on the year.
Arden Breedlove had 16 kills, 15 digs, seven aces, five blocks and four assists to lead the Black Bears, while Charlie Barnes added 14 kills and 14 digs. Maggie Marsh finished the tri-match with 43 assists, nine kills and eight digs.
