George Karlaftis injury update: Latest status report, news for KC Chiefs DL in Week 11

Veteran pass-rusher George Karlaftis was listed on the Kansas City Chiefs’ initial injury report for Week 11.

Here is the latest update on Karlaftis’ status ahead of the Chiefs’ matchup against the Denver Broncos:

George Karlaftis injury update

Karalaftis is dealing with a thumb injury that limited his participation in Kansas City’s latest practice session on Wednesday, November 12.

How long will George Karlaftis be out?

It is unclear if Karlaftis will need to miss time due to his thumb injury. If Karlaftis’ participation in the Chiefs’ workouts in Week 11 continues to be limited, Kansas City’s coaching staff may consider sidelining him to allow his injury to heal. However, if Karlaftis graduates to full participation at practice on Thursday or Friday, he will almost certainly take the field to face Denver this weekend.

Chiefs DL depth chart

If Karlaftis is held out of Sunday’s game, the Chiefs will rely on Charles Omenihu and Ashton Gillotte to put pressure on Broncos quarterback Bo Nix in Week 11.
