Eagles sign former Patriots WR to practice squad; Release Antwaun Powell-Ryland

Philadelphia is always looking to add talent, and the Eagles added another young wide receiver while parting ways with a 2025 sixth-round pick.

Philadelphia announced that they are signing former Patriots receiver Javon Baker to their practice squad, and waiving former Virginia Tech pass rusher Antwaun Ryland-Powell.

Baker, 23, was a fourth-round pick by New England in the 2024 NFL Draft. He appeared in 11 games as a rookie, catching just one of four targets for 12 yards. After the additions of veteran wideouts Stefon Diggs and Mack Hollins this offseason, Baker was released.
