Colorado football will continue its streak of primetime games with kickoff announcement

The Big 12 Conference announced its Week 4 college football game times Monday morning, with the Colorado Buffaloes receiving another primetime, nationally televised matchup.

CU will host the Wyoming Cowboys on Saturday, September 20, with kickoff now slated for 8:15 p.m. MT and will be broadcast by ESPN. This game will be the Buffs’ fourth night game in five weeks. It follows their Week 1 matchup against Georgia Tech and this Friday evening’s game against Houston, adding to an already scheduled night game in Week 5 against BYU.

The Buffaloes’ game against the Cowboys also marks the university’s Family Weekend, which traditionally has an afternoon kickoff.

Although the evening kickoff isn’t the preferred option for most Colorado fans, ESPN’s broadcast of the game will extend the program’s streak of nationally televised games to five for the start of the 2025 season. CU’s Week 5 game against BYU was scheduled for ESPN before the beginning of the season.
