Celina (TX) leads Waco La Vega (TX) early: Live updates, score of Texas high school football game playing after weather-forced suspension

Two teams that were in AT&T Stadium last December playing for a state championship face off in a game that was delayed a day.
Waco La Vega takes on Celina in a game that takes place Saturday afternoon in Mansfield. It was scheduled to take place Friday, but was suspended due to inclement weather.
Last season, La Vega (1-0) played for the UIL 4A Division II championship but lost to Carthage. The Pirates started their 2025 season strong with a 41-3 win against Kennedale.
As for Celina, the Bobcats claimed the UIL 4A Division I championship with a win against Kilgore. The Bobcats (1-0) got their new season started with a 50-28 win against Bellville, as they are expected to return to AT&T Stadium with players like quarterback Bowe Bentley, an Oklahoma commit.
