2026 linebacker JaMichael Garrett will visit LSU football for its home opener on Saturday against Louisiana Tech, per a report from Rivals.
The four-star prospect decommitted from Auburn in June and is one of the cycle’s last uncommitted blue-chippers. It will be Garrett’s second week watching the Tigers after he took a trip to Clemson in week one.
LSU and Auburn were the final two for Garrett’s initial decision but it appears head coach Brian Kelly’s staff stayed in contact with the in-state defender even after choosing the SEC rival.
247Sports is the highest on Garrett, putting him as the No. 8 linebacker and No. 161 overall in the 2026 class. The Baton Rouge native is No. 8 out of Louisiana. Should he choose LSU, he would add to a strong group of players putting on for their home state.
