Ouaddou calls for clinical finishing

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who was reportedly discharged from the hospital after a road accident on Sunday, has urged his charges to be more clinical in front of goals.
The Soweto giants eased to a 3-0 victory over Chippa United in their last league outing, with Patrick Maswanganyi, Deon Hotto, and Tshepang Moremi getting on the scoresheet.
As a result, Pirates ascended to fifth place on the Betway Premiership log standings after losing their first two league matches, much to the frustration of the Bucs faithful.
Despite cruising to a third Premiership win, Ouaddou has called for killer instinct in the final third, with Pirates having wasted several big chances against the Chilli Boys.
“it’s a problem for me because I’m really pragmatic, but I have to accept some habits as well, some roots in the country. I just said to the boys that we have to learn to kill the games,” said the Moroccan tactician.
“I’m happy for the performance but sometimes if you have to score three or four goals or more, you have to score those goals because at the end of the season every goal will be important.
Pirates will swing back to action with a clash against Stellenbosch FC in the MTN8 final at Mbombela Stadium on 13 September after the international break. Interestingly, this will be a repeat of last season’s final in the same competition.
