Despite the fact that it seems like the top QB available in the 2026 NFL Draft could be Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza, maybe it’s possible he’s not the No. 1 overall pick necessarily.
In our latest 2026 NFL mock draft from Christian D’Andrea, he had Mendoza going No. 1 overall to the New York Jets. Makes complete sense, right? But let’s remember the latest 2026 NFL Draft order — the team at the top right now heading into Week 11 is… the Tennessee Titans! They certainly don’t need a QB in this draft and, if this holds, they could trade down.
CBS Sports’ latest mock isn’t doing trades, so instead, Josh Edwards has Ohio State LB Arvell Reese going to Tennessee and Mendoza going No. 2 to the Saints. Here’s the take on the Reese:
Trades are not being projected until the draft order is settled after the regular season. In a real-life scenario, Tennessee would be fielding offers for the No. 1 overall selection. However, they stay put here and add the best player in college football this season. Arvell Reese may play linebacker, but there is confidence in projecting him to a full-time edge rusher as well. At 6-foot-4, 243 pounds, he has the size to make that transition.
