Chelsea and Man City played out an even opening 30 minutes in Friday night’s WSL opener at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Blues eventually took the lead through Aggie Beever-Jones, who was on hand to cap a wonderful flowing move from the hosts.
The reigning WSL champions cut through the right side of City’s defence at an electric pace, leading to Ellie Carpenter picking out the lurking Beever-Jones to tap in from close range.
