As part of OneFootball’s collaboration series with Shoot Music we’re interviewing an artist every week about their love of football.
This week it’s Leeds fan and member of supergroup Everyone Says Hi, Nick Hodgson
When did you start supporting Leeds and why?
It all started in the early 90s when Vinnie Jones and Gordon Strachan etc sealed promotion and my school changed overnight. My Dad (a Geordie) started getting tickets and that was it.
What’s your favourite memory of supporting Leeds as a child?
Being at the games and trying to start songs. It must have been quite embarrassing for my Dad when I think about it.ย
How would you rate Daniel Farke’s time as Leeds manager?
I think heโs doing a great job in difficult circumstances. It’s not easy getting promoted and then competing in the Premier League. Recently heโs shown he can adapt and change to suit different situations which I really respect and the performances have been outstanding!
If he were to leave this season, who would you like to replace him on the Elland Road bench?
Just for the madness of it Iโd have Jose Mourinho.
Tell us about your new single โCommunicationโ
Nah.. ok then. For me itโs all about the bassline and the drums. If it doesnโt make at least one part of your body move then you might need resuscitating.
