Where is Louisville basketball ranked in new AP Top 25, Coaches Poll?

Where is Louisville basketball ranked in the latest top-25 polls after going 1-1 in a pair of ranked games last week?

Pat Kelsey’s Cardinals (8-1) fell from sixth to No. 11 in the new USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll released Monday, following an 89-80 loss at now-No. 17 Arkansas on Dec. 3 in the ACC/SEC Challenge and an 87-78 victory over now-unranked Indiana on Dec. 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Up next for UofL: rekindling its longtime rivalry with Memphis with the first game of a six-year series. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the KFC Yum! Center.

Coach Penny Hardaway’s Tigers improved to 4-4 with a 78-71 win over Baylor on Dec. 6 at home β€” their third consecutive victory after going 0-2 (against Purdue and Wake Forest) at the Baha Mar Championship.

The Cards lead the all-time series against Memphis, 54-36, and won the last meeting: 81-72 on Dec. 16, 2017, in the Gotham Classic at Madison Square Garden. Cincinnati is the only opponent they’ve played more across the program’s 112 years of existence.

This story will be updated following the release of the AP Top 25.
