Tennessee Titans right tackle and 2024 first-round NFL draft pick JC Latham was not at practice on Sept. 10 after aggravating a preseason hip injury in the Titans’ season-opening loss against the Denver Broncos.
In addition, when the Titans released their injury report at 6:30 p.m. CT, three players were listed as limited participation: outside linebacker Arden Key, cornerback L’Jarius Sneed and safety Kevin Winston Jr.
Latham was one of four Titans contributors who didn’t practice on the first day back on the field in preparation for the game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 14 (noon CT, CBS).
Other players who didn’t participate were veteran safety Quandre Diggs, defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat and running back Kalel Mullings.
When Latham exited the Broncos game, Oli Udoh replaced him. Udoh, a seventh-year pro who has played in Minnesota and New Orleans, has 19 career starts, but only three in the past three seasons.
Sweat was limited throughout the preseason, first with an abdominal issue, then later following tonsil surgery. He played 33 snaps against Denver, counting special teams.
Mullings exited the Denver game early, limping off the field after a special teams play. Mullings went into the game questionable with an ankle injury.
