Luis Suárez: his future remains uncertain
Inter Miami clinched the MLS final by defeating Vancouver 3–1. But as his teammates celebrated, Luis Suárez was already contemplating his future.
The Uruguayan striker, who spent the entire final on the bench, is nearing the end of his contract and has yet to decide whether he will stay with the club. Before the match, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas made things clear:
Suárez has the right to decide if he wants to leave. And if he chooses to stay for another season, that would be fantastic. The decision is his.
For several weeks now, Javier Mascherano has been using Suárez as a substitute, which could influence his decision. Now free from international duty with Uruguay, Suárez is in no rush, but his future remains completely open: staying, leaving, or seeking a new challenge… anything is possible.
