Israeli Prime Minister Signals Ongoing Military Campaign
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will “continue to strike Iran with force”, confirming that Israeli military operations are expanding as new targets across Iran are hit during the ongoing conflict. The statement came amid fresh airstrikes reported in multiple Iranian locations as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.
Speaking during a briefing on Tuesday, Netanyahu said Israeli pilots were actively conducting missions over Iranian territory and that the military campaign would continue as long as necessary to address what Israel describes as threats from Iran’s military and missile programs.
The latest strikes are part of the broader military campaign launched in late February when Israel and the United States carried out coordinated attacks against Iranian military infrastructure under an operation known as “Lion’s Roar.”
Fresh Targets Hit Across Iran
Israeli defense officials reported that the latest wave of airstrikes targeted missile launch facilities, military command centers, and strategic infrastructure believed to be linked to Iran’s military operations.
Military analysts say the Israeli Air Force has conducted repeated strike missions aimed at weakening Iran’s ability to launch ballistic missiles and drones. Israeli officials argue that destroying these capabilities is necessary to prevent further attacks on Israeli territory and allied military positions.
Netanyahu said the campaign could involve thousands of additional targets in the coming days, warning that Israel is prepared for continued escalation if Iran maintains retaliatory attacks.
Iran and Regional Allies Respond
Iran has vowed retaliation for the strikes and has already launched missile and drone attacks against Israeli targets and U.S. military installations across the region. Several Gulf countries hosting American forces have also reported security incidents linked to the expanding conflict.
Iranian officials say the country will defend its sovereignty and continue responding to what it calls aggression by Israel and its allies. However, detailed casualty figures and damage assessments from inside Iran remain difficult to independently verify due to limited access to strike areas.
The conflict has also expanded beyond Iran and Israel. Hezbollah forces in Lebanon have launched attacks against Israel, prompting Israeli strikes in Lebanon as well.
Conflict Intensifies Across the Middle East
The war began after Israeli and U.S. forces launched coordinated strikes on Iranian military facilities following weeks of rising tensions over Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.
Since then, both sides have exchanged multiple waves of attacks involving airstrikes, missiles, and drones, raising fears of a broader regional war involving multiple countries and armed groups.
International leaders and diplomatic organizations have urged restraint and renewed negotiations, warning that continued escalation could destabilize the entire Middle East.
Uncertain Timeline for the War
Netanyahu acknowledged that the conflict could last “some time,” though he suggested it would not become a prolonged multi-year war.
The Israeli leader expressed confidence that the military campaign would ultimately reduce Iran’s ability to threaten Israel and its allies. However, analysts say the duration of the conflict remains uncertain as both sides continue to launch attacks and prepare for further escalation.
For now, Israeli officials say the military operation will continue, with additional strikes expected as the conflict unfolds.
