The Lady Bulldogs varsity and junior varsity soccer teams traveled to Lawrenceburg Tuesday and were defeated in both contests.
Lawrenceburg scored one goal in each half en route to a 2-0 win in the varsity game.
A Batesville foul in the box gave Lawrenceburg a penalty kick in the junior varsity game. The Lady Tigers converted the kick for the 1-0 victory in a match that saw only one half played.
Batesville hosts Columbus East Thursday and travel to Franklin County Saturday.
Rushville
The Lady Lions hosted South Ripley for Senior Night, honoring Captain Chloe Pickett, Logan Christmas, and Poet Worthen for their dedication and leadership.
The Lady Lions came up short, falling 2-1 to the Lady Raiders. Emily Rouse provided the lone goal for Rushville, finishing with an offensive performance that included five shots on goal. Kinsley Gabbard also pressured the South Ripley defense with a shot on goal.
In goal, the Lady Lions split duties between two keepers. Freshman Maddie Aldworth tallied four saves, while sophomore Lia Bohn added eight.
The team recognized standout performances from seniors Logan Christmas and Chloe Pickett, along with sophomore Jazzy Taylor.
The Rushville Lady Lions hosted conference rival Connersville Tuesday. After a strong first half, the Lady Lions went into halftime with the score locked at 0-0 behind a stellar defensive effort and sharp goalkeeping from sophomore Lia Bohn.
Bohn recorded 19 saves on the night, keeping Rushville in the game through relentless Spartan pressure. However, Connersville broke through after halftime, capitalizing on opportunities to score five unanswered goals in the second half.
Team voted standout performances came from junior captain Izzy Simmermon, sophomore Jazzy Taylor and freshman Maddie Aldworth.
