Everything it takes to blockade Hormuz: Military experts explain

The US military blockade on all traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports started at 10 a.m. ET today, after weekend peace talks in Pakistan faltered. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to retaliate.

Former NATO Supreme Allied Commanders James Stavridis and Wesley Clark, retired Air Force Colonel Cedric Leighton and retired Lieutenant General Ben Hodges break down the viability of the blockade and detail what military assets it will take to keep it in place.

Also, former National Security Council official Brett McGurk says the blockade is a “big move” that he thinks caught the Iranians by surprise.
