A supporter dies during match in England
The Championship clash between Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth was overshadowed by a tragic incident this Saturday.
Shortly after kick-off, the referee halted play due to a medical emergency reported in the stands. Emergency services rushed to assist a Charlton supporter suffering from a serious illness. Although he received immediate attention and was transported to the hospital, the supporter sadly did not survive.
Charlton Athletic are devastated to report that a supporter has passed away following a medical emergency at The Valley today.

In an official statement, the London club expressed its deep sadness. Given the circumstances, the match was suspended and will be rescheduled at a later date.
