Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen suffered an apparent injury in the first quarter of the Buffalo Bills’ “Thursday Night Football” game against the Houston Texans.
The injury occurred when Allen was hit from behind by Texans defensive end Will Anderson while preparing to attempt a third-down pass.
Allen landed hard on his midsection and appeared to be in pain while remaining down and rolling around on the ground.
Allen was able to get up under his own power and walk to the Buffalo sidelines after briefly receiving attention from the team’s medical staff. He did not immediately go to the blue medical tent; he sat down on the bench.
The Bills did not immediately provide an update about Allen’s status.
