The NFL Draft is always a make-or-break moment for teams every year, as it is the last chance they have to fill holes within their roster. Some teams can skate by by making a homerun pick in their class, while others get extremely lucky and hit the lottery by finding three players to contribute to their team both short and long term.
But as we head into Week 12 of the season, what picks have been the best and worst for the Bucs, and have they helped this team?
CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards broke down the best and worst picks of the 2025 NFL Draft for the team. Of course, they started at the top with the best pick, which was Emeka Egbuka, in one of the easier choices for any team to highlight. He writes, “There was an internal battle choosing Egbuka over cornerback Jacob Parrish. Egbuka has been more impactful at his position when on the field despite being limited by injury lately.”
For the worst pick, it came down to David Walker, who has missed the entire season due to a knee injury. He explains, “Cornerback Benjamin Morrison, edge rusher Elijah Roberts and wide receiver Tez Johnson have all been contributors for the NFC contender. The only unaccounted for draft pick has been edge rusher David Walker, who suffered a preseason injury.”
This speaks to the class that general manager Jason Licht has been able to keep his hot streak of picks going. The 2025 Bucs class is poised for long-term success.
