Joe Flacco’s injury won’t impact fantasy football sleeper status

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco is a go for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Meaning? Flacco is a must-know in the fantasy football world.

Flacco has been a fantasy football beast since getting settled with the Bengals and doing the obvious thing…spamming the ball at Ja’Marr Chase.

That has ESPN circling Flacco as a must-add sleeper who should start in fantasy football lineups this weekend:

“Flacco has had a career renaissance since arriving in Cincinnati, averaging 24.9 fantasy points per game in four starts. He has thrown at least two touchdown passes in every Bengals appearance and has attempted at least 45 passes in three of four games. This week, he faces a Steelers defense that is allowing the most passing yards per game in the NFL (269.4). And, of course, Flacco is well-positioned for success with wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins as his top targets.”

As ESPN pointed out, Flacco still sits on just 38.4 percent of fantasy football rosters, which is pretty wild considering the quantity and quality he’s been putting up in Cincinnati over his last three games.

Keep in mind, too, that before the bye week, Flacco played through the same injury against Chicago and put up 470 passing yards and four scores.

Flacco has Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins and a leaky defense that all but guarantees he’ll be passing often, basically making him matchup-proof on the fantasy side of things.
