Andover’s Adams and Parker help Brown reach Ivy League playoffs

Last Saturday, No. 18 ranked Brown University (10-5) clinched an Ivy League tournament berth with a win over Dartmouth. Andover resident Lucy Adams – fresh off her time with the U.S. National team — ranks third on the team in scoring with four goals and eleven assists and goalie Ellie Parker of Andover has registered eight wins in net, along with 46 saves. She currently has a 1.18 GAA with three shutouts.

Brown will now take on No. 1 Harvard in the Ivy League playoffs.

Lucy’s sister Georgia Adams played a huge part in Wesleyan’s historic 2-1 win over Williams in Saturday’s quarterfinal round of the NESCAC playoffs. She scored the game winning goal, her ninth of the season, which helped the Cardinals earn their first NESCAC tournament win in 20 years.

In other NESCAC playoff action, Middlebury defeated Bowdoin, 3-2, in overtime in the quarterfinal round. Former Phillips Academy star Ellie Harrison scored the team’s second goal of the game and her second of the season. The senior has been a part of the program’s three straight Division 3 national championship teams.

Besides the offensive stars, Windham’s Amy Lanouette (UPenn) and Andover’s Emma Reilly (Columbia) have been defensive stalwarts for their respective teams, which ranked No. 14 and No. 31 in the country.

In the net, Andover’s Paige Gillette is enjoying another incredible season for Assumption (12-5-0). She has made 67 saves and posted a 0.76 GAA during the regular season. The Greyhounds started their NE-10 playoff run on Tuesday night against Franklin Pierce. Her teammate Hailee Doherty, also of Andover, has five points including three tallies.
