BANGKOK, THAILAND — A Border Patrol Police officer has surrendered to authorities following a deadly shooting in Bangkok’s Din Daeng district that left one motorcycle taxi rider dead and two other individuals seriously injured.
The incident occurred near the motorcycle taxi stand outside Kiatthongchai Market in the Huai Khwang–Din Daeng area, where what began as a dispute reportedly escalated into a violent confrontation involving firearms.
The case has drawn widespread public attention and renewed scrutiny over gun violence and the conduct of law enforcement personnel in Thailand.
Dispute Escalates Into Gunfire
According to preliminary police reports, the confrontation began following an argument linked to a routine transportation fare near the busy market area.
