The New York Giants (0-0) will open the regular season against the Washington Commanders (0-0) on Sunday afternoon at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.
Although relatively healthy, the status of All-Pro left tackle Andrew Thomas is the injury headliner. He participated on a limited basis on Wednesday, was held out on Thursday, and returned on a limited basis on Friday.
Additionally, wide receiver Malik Nabers was held out during Friday’s practice because his back got a “little tight.”
“We’re going to back down on Malik today. But he’ll be alright,” head coach Brian Daboll said. “Just back down on him a little bit. He’ll be fine for the game.”
Thomas, meanwhile, remained uncertain about his Week 1 status, which was reflected in the injury report.
