Micah’s 5 things to expect in Week 2 versus Georgia Southern

In Week 1 my predictions did not come to light, but I was correct about the Trojans being dominant in their debut game of the season. This USC football team is heading into a matchup versus Georgia Southern and former head coach Clay Helton. I believe the Trojans will dominate both sides of the ball once again as they continue to try to prove themselves as a threat in college football.

Here are 5 predictions for Game 2 for the USC Trojans:

Waymond Jordan finds the end zone first

Waymond Jordan already looks like he will be a problem this season. His first carry was a 26-yard run he almost scored on. He has great shiftiness and grown man strength. I think he bulldozes his way into the end zone on the first drive.

Jayden Maiava puts up better performance than Week 1

Jayden Maiava, in the first half last week, put up 295 yards passing for 2 touchdowns. I think he can top that versus a very weak Georgia Southern defense. He will hit his playmakers early and often leading to 4 passing touchdowns in the first half. Maiava will build on last week’s impressive performance and take it up a notch in Week 2.

Jahkeem Stewart gets two sacks

Jahkeem Stewart has been itching to suit up, and this week he might finally get his chance. I think Stewart makes his presence felt early. I think he posts 2 sacks in his debut, both in the first half. The Trojans have been really excited about Stewart; we will see why this Saturday.

Eli Sanders has another 70+ yard touchdown

Last week Georgia Southern gave up 7.32 yards per play and 21 plays of 10 yards or more. The Trojans have many guys that are dangerous after the catch and with the ball in their hands in general. Eli Sanders is the Trojans’ fastest guy; last week he had a receiving touchdown for 73 yards. I think Sanders does it again, this time on a running play. His speed is game changing, and he will make plays like that all season. Expect one home run at the very least versus Georgia Southern, maybe even multiple.

Husan Longstreet plays entire second half again

Husan Longstreet showed great potential in last week’s second half. Longstreet showed his special dual-threat ability, scoring three total touchdowns in the air and on the ground. I think the Trojans dominate and put the Eagles away early, giving us an opportunity to see more of Longstreet. He will put up similar numbers in the second half, further displaying how good he can be when it is his turn.
