The Eagles unveiled a Super Bowl banner for the second time in seven years on Thursday night, and it was one of the most eventful evenings to open an NFL season in recent memory.
Thursday’s matchup marked the 133rd meeting between Dallas and Philadelphia, with the road team holding an overwhelming edge in the series. Carter was ejected before the first play of the game for spitting on Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott has a 9-5 record against the Eagles in his career, 33-9 against the NFC East following the loss.
